Spiced Walnuts

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

  • 1/2 tsp cloves

  • 1/2Cup Water

  • 2 Cups Walnut halves or large pieces

  • Boil sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and water to 235 degrees F on candy thermometer (soft ball stage). Remove from heat and add walnuts. Stir until creamy. Turn out on waxed paper; separate walnuts using two forks.

  • Allow to cool, seal in airtight container.
