Meat and Cauliflower Curry

ingredients

  • 2 lb. of meat, cut into 2 inch cubes
  • 2 cloves of garlic, mashed
  • 2 onions, sliced finely
  • 1 small cauliflower, divided into florets
  • salt
  • 8 tbsp ghee
  • 1 1/2 turmeric
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 2 1/2 tsp coriander
  • 2 1/2 tsp chilli
  • 4 tbsp greek yogurt
  • cooking fat for frying cauliflower

directions

Wash and cut the meat into 2 inch cubes. Grind the garlic to a paste. Slice the onions finely. Divide the cauliflower into florets, wash and drain. Sprinkle with salt. Heat the ghee and fry the onions until golden brown. Add all of the spices (except the garam masala), the yogurt, the meat and the salt. Fry for 5 minutes then simmer gently until the meat is cooked. Fry the cauliflower in deep fat until slightly brown. Drain and add to the meat. Stir very carefully so as to not break up the cauliflower. Sprinkle with garam masala and serve.
