Creamy Coleslaw
I make this every summer. Doesn’t store for more than a few days in refrigerator. Easiest to chop all the vegetables in food processor for finer slaw but sliced is still good.
ingredients
- 8 c cabbage, finely chopped
- 1/4 c carrot, shredded
- 1/3 c sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 c milk
- 3/4 c mayonnaise
- 1/4 c buttermilk
- 1 1/2 TBS white vinegar
- 2 TBS dried minced onion
- 2 TBS lemon juice
- 1 TBS celery seed
directions
Cut cabbage and carrots and place in food processor and pulse for a few seconds. In large bowl, combine sugar, salt, pepper, milk, mayonnaise, buttermilk, vinegar, onion, lemon juice and celery seed. Add the cabbage and carrots. Mix well, refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
