ingredients

  • 2 Golden Delicious apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped toasted walnuts
  • 1/4 cup water or apple juice
  • 1 tablespoon packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 tubes reduced fat free refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • Confectioners Sugar for dusting

    1. Preheat oven to 375. Grease a large nonstick skillet with butter-flavored nonstick cooking spray and heat over medium-high heat. Add the apples, walnuts, water, brown sugar, and cinnamon an cook, stirring, until the apples are tender, about 4 minutes. Pour mixture onto a plate and cool.

    2. Unroll the dough onto a work surface and separate into 12 triangles. Place about 1 tablespoon of the apple mixture on the wide end of each triangle and roll up toward the opposite point. Gently pinch the edges together and place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake until golden, 10-12 minutes. Let cool on pan for 5 minutes and sprinkle with confectioners sugar passed through a fine sieve.
