Sweet and Sour Meatballs
ingredients
- 2 lb. ground beef
- garlic and onion powders
- 2 egg
- 1/2 c matzoh meal
- 1 jar chili sauce -- plus 1 jar water
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 c brown sugar
- 1/2 c lemon juice
directions
Mix together beef, garlic and onion powder to taste, egg and matzoh meal. Form into small balls, coat with flour and lightly fry. Pour chili sauce and water into sauce pan. Add tomato soup, brown sugar and lemon juice. Mix well. Bring to a boil. Drop in meatballs. Return to a boil, cover and simmer for at least 30 minutes. You can leave it on simmer until ready to serve.
