Cheese Spread

This is right out of the 50’s and sounds cheesy (no pun intended) but the egg and olive combination makes it really great as a simple but different appetizer.

  • ½ lb. (8oz.) Kraft Old English Slices

  • 2 T. chopped onion

  • 3 T. chopped green or red pepper

  • 6 large stuffed olives chopped

  • 1 hard cooked egg, chopped

  • ½ c. butter cracker crumbs

  • ¼ c. mayonnaise (more if needed)

  • 1. Shred cheese & mix all together.

  • 2. Form ball or put into serving dish and chill overnight.

notes:

Put crackers into heavy plastic (freezer) bag to crush. Slice olives to decorate top in dish. I know this sounds like a Kraft commercial but it really is wonderful! Use sharp Cheddar if you have on hand.
