Knock You On Your Rear Punch

ingredients

  • 1 pineapple, sliced
  • 1 fifth of rum
  • 1 quart orange juice
  • 1 fifth of whiskey
  • 1 quart cold tea
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 bottle Benedictine
  • 3 tbs aromatic bitters
  • Maraschino cherries, optional
  • 2 fifths of champagne, chilled

directions

Marinate pineapple and cherries in rum. Dissolve sugar in orange and lemon juices in a punch bowl. Add pineapple, cherries, and rum, whiskey, Benedictine, tea, and bitters. Mix well. Add a block of ice. Just before serving, add champagne and stir gently.
