Winter Soup
ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 chopped onion
- garlic
- 1 large chopped green pepper
- 1 16-oz. can tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 can beef consomme
- 1 tablespoon Worchester sauce
- 1 can red wine – Harry’s Bristol Cream
- 1 can red kidney beans
- 1/2 head cabbage, chopped
directions
Sauté meat in butter until brown. Add onion, pepper, garlic. Cook 15-20 minutes. Add all other ingredients except cabbage. Cover and simmer 1 hour. Add cabbage, cook another 30 minutes, covered.
