Turkey Chili

I have made believers of my meat eating family...no need for ground beef. The turkey is a healthy and delicious alternative.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Lean Turkey Meat
  • 1 large chopped Yellow Onion
  • 1 package Chili Seasoning (yes, it’s cheating but why re-create the wheel?)
  • 1 can chopped Tomatoes
  • 1 can Chili Beans
  • 1 can Kidney Beans
  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Avocado
  • Cilantro
  • Sour Cream
  • 1 can Black Beans

    Saute the onions in a skillet over med-high heat for about 10 minutes until they are translucent. Add the turkey meat to the skillet on high heat until browned.

    Stir in Chili Spices & Seasonings, water, beans and tomatoes. Bring to boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low. Simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes or until heated through, stirring occasionally.

    Serve with shredded cheddar cheese, cilantro, avocado and sour cream, if desired.
