Cappellini Capricciosi Con Gamberi(Capellini with spicy shrimp
ingredients
- 1 lb cappellini
- 4 cloves garlic, sliced
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb shrimp, cleaned, shelled and cut into 1/2 " pieces
- 3 cups crushed tomatoes
- 1/4 cup Italian parsley (chopped)
- 1/4 tbsp red pepper flakes
- salt to taste
- 1 tbsp salt for water
directions
Bring 3 quarts water to rapid boil, add salt, cook pasta. Using a very large skillet, heat oil, saute garlic, add red pepper flakes. Add shrimp and cook over high heat for 3 to 4 mins. Remove shrimp from skillet, set aside. Add tomatoes, salt to taste, and cook slowly for 10 -15 mins. Return shrimp to skillet, add parsley. Mix well. Do not overcook shrimp. When pasta is done, drain well. Add sauce. Mix well. Serve immediately.
