Bourbon Chicken
Similar to a sweet & sour chicken dish. Comes together fast and the flavor is great!
ingredients
- 2 lb. chicken
- 4 T. oil (for pan frying)
- cornstarch for dusting (optional)
- Sauce:
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 t. ground ginger
- 1/2 t. crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 c. apple juice
- 1/3 c. light brown sugar
- 2 T. ketchup
- 1 T. cider vinegar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/3 c. soy sauce

Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces, and if you choose, lightly dust with cornstarch. Heat oil in your wok and fry chicken bits in batches until lightly browned. Drain on paper towels and set aside.

In a bowl combine all sauce ingredients. Pour into wok and bring to a a boil. Add chicken bis back to the pan, reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

Might want to mix a little cornstarch & water together then add to sauce to thicken it up.
