Indian Pudding
ingredients
- 1 quart milk
- 1/4 cup yellow corn meal
- 1/2 cup darls molasses
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 T butter
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
directions
Scald milk in double boiler. Add cornmeal slowly while stirring and cook 20 minutes. Add remaining ingredients, turn into greased 1 1/2 quart casserole and bake uncovered in a slow oven of 275° for 3 hours. Serve hot or cold with vanilla ice cream. May be reheated in an oven of 275°.
