Ice Cream Cake

ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 1 cup soda cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 stick soft butter
  • Filling:
  • 2 small packages instant pudding
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 2 pints ice cream
  • 1 container cool whip
  • Sprinkles

    For the crust: mix the crumbs with the softened (not melted) butter and press into bottom of 9 by 13 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes (don’t burn). Cool.

    For the filling: mix the pudding, milk and softened ice cream and pour over crust. Freeze for a few hours until firm.

    Before serving, spread cool whip over filling and slightly soften.

    You pick the flavor! For chocolate, use chocolate pudding and ice cream and chocolate chips sprinkled on top. Or strawberry, with strawberry ice cream and fresh strawberries .. or whatever sound good!

notes

The great thing about this recipe is it's versatility. It started out as "Butter Pecan Torte" with butter pecan ice cream and heath chips sprinkled on top.
