Gingersnap Cookies
ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 1 T baking soda
- 1 t. allspice
- 1 t. ginger
- 1 t. cinnamon
- 1/2 t. salt
directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, cream shortening and sugar. Add egg and molasses, then stir in dry ingredients. Mix on medium speed until well-blended. Roll into 1” balls and then roll in sugar. Flatten balls onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes.
