Dilly Green Tomatoes
From the kitchen of B.J., a lady who has worked with Tony for many years.
ingredients
- Small green tomatoes such as individual grape or cherry tomatoes, or cut pieces of small green tomatoes.
- To each quart jar add:
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 stalk of celery
- 1 hot pepper, jalapeƱo or hotter peppers
- 1 head of Dill
directions
For 8 qts combine 2 qts of water, 1 qt cider vinegar, 1 cup pickling salt. Cook 5 minutes and fill the packed jars with hot liquid and seal. (cold pack) invert the jars to speed the sealing time.
