Amish Friendship Bread
One of those “chain” sharing treat. Once you get the batter started a portion is divided out and given to friends and the rest is kept for yourself to make this delicious “cake”. Do Not use metal spoon or bowl in the process. Do Not refrigerate the bag If air gets in the bag, let it out (burp it). It is normal for batter to rise, bubble and ferment. Day 1: Receive batter. Do nothing Day 2 through 5: Mush the bag Day 6: Add 1 cup each of milk, sugar & all-purpose flour Day 7 through 9: Mush the bag Day 10: Mixing day
