Baked Garlic Fries

ingredients

  • 3 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/4 inch strips
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 garlic cloves, minced
  • Freshly grated parmesan cheese

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

    Combine first three ingredients and place in a zip lock bag with potato slices. Toss to coat. Place on a cookie sheet coated with cooking spray or butter in a single layer. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes turning after 20 minutes, until potatoes are tender. Place butter and garlic in saucepan and saute for 2 minutes stirring constantly. Toss with potatoes to coat and serve.
