Simple Vegan Pesto

  • 3 cups fresh basil leaves

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • ¾ teaspoon coarse sea salt

  • 6 tablespoons pine nuts

  • 6 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1. Put the basil, nuts, garlic and salt into a food processor or good blender. Process until everything is finely chopped.

  • 2. Add the oil and process until everything is worked in together. Enjoy.

  • Alternately: chop basil and garlic by hand, then use a mortar and pestle to mix.
