ingredients

  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 TBSP. cinnamon
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 TBSP. vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 2 TBSP. powdered sugar
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 loaf french bread, cut into 10 1" slices
  • Butter
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
  • Nutmeg for dusting (optional)

    In a large bowl, beat eggs. In medium bowl mix together sugar and cinnamon. Then add milk and vanilla and whisk until thoroughly combined. In small bowl blend softened cream cheese, raspberries and powdered sugar - it will be lumpy. Set aside.

    Cut sliced bread in half and spread raspberry mixture to both sides of bread and create a sandwich. Dunk each sandwich thoroughly in egg mixture. In a frying pan put approx. 1 TBSP. butter (medium-low heat) and fry bread for approx. 3 - 4 mins., including sides. Be careful to watch the toast as the cinnamon will burn easily.

    Garnish toast with powdered sugar, nutmeg & remaining raspberries.
