Au Gratin Sausage Skillet
This is just a quick and easy weeknight dinner recipe.
1 lb. kielbasa or polish sausage, sliced in ½" pieces
2 Tbs. vegetable oil
1 pkg. au gratin potatoes
1 pkg. frozen california blend veggies
1 to 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups water
In a skillet, cook sausage in oil until lightly browned; drain. Add potatoes with contents of sauce mix and water. Cover and cook over medium heat for 18-20 minutes or until the potatoes are almost tender, stirring occasionally. Add vegetables, cover and cook for 8-10 minutes or until the potatoes and the veggies are tender. Sprinkle with cheese. Remove from heat; cover and let stand until the cheese is melted. (*The milk and butter on the potato pkg. are not used.)
