Mom's Meatballs

  • 4 slices white bread
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • dash pepper

    Tear the bread into pieces and soak in the milk.

    When the milk is absorbed, add the eggs. Mix in the ground beef, Parmesan, parsley, oregano, and pepper.

    Chill until firm.

    Shape into 24 balls. Cook meatballs in a large skillet (in batches) until brown on all sides.

    Add to sauce 30 minutes before serving.
