- ONE HEAD OF CABBAGE CORED AND CHOPPED
- ONE LARGE ONION CHOPPED
- 3-5 SLICE OF BACON CHOPPED
- 2 TABLESPOONS OF OIL
- SALT & PEPPER
- 2 CUPS WATER

HEAT OIL IN 8 QUART POT. ADD BACON AND COOK UNTIL TENDER CRISP. ADD ONION AND SAUTE TIL TRANSLUCENT. ADD CABBAGE AND WATER, THEN SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE. COVERED AND COOK UNTIL TENDER.
