Buttermilk Fried Chicken
This is the only way I will ever make fried chicken.
ingredients
- FOR BRINE
- 1 family pack of wings (any chicken)
- 1 quart buttermilk
- 1 tbs. minced garlic
- 1 tsp. black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup kosher salt
- FOR DREDGING
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tsp. onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper
- FOR FRYING
- Oil (peanut or vegetable)

Place buttermilk and other brine ingredients in a bowl and stir until sugar and salt dissolves.

Put wings in brine, cover and refrigerate overnight or 8hrs.

Pre-heat oil to 360 degrees

Mix dredging ingredients together.

Dip chicken straight from brine into flour and fry until golden brown.

Chicken should fry 10-15 minutes depending on what piece of chicken it is.
