Beer Braised Pulled Pork
An easy receipe to throw in the oven and forget about! Go about your day and come home to an awesome meal.
ingredients
- 1 6lb Pork Butt
- 12 oz Beer
- 1/2 c. Brown Sugar
- 2 small yellow Onions
- Rub:
- 1 tbsp Cumin
- 2 tbsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Ginger
- BBQ Sauce:
- 2 cups Ketchup
- 2 tbsp Mustard
- 1 cup Packed Brown Sugar
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Cumin
- 3 tbsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper

For the pork:

Trim excess surface fat and cover with rub. In a cassarole dish large enough to fit the rub, pour the can of beer. Quarter the onions and place in beer with 1/2 brown sugar. Add the pork and cook for approx. 7 hours (at 300*) or until you can shred the pork with a fork. In the mean time, combine all the ingredients for the BBQ sauce. When the pork is done, smother with BBQ sauce.
