Home-made Vegetable Soup
ingredients
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 2 c. chopped onion
- 2 c. diced potatoes
- 2 c. sliced carrots
- 2 c. chopped cabbage
- 1 T. bouillon flakes
- 2 c. diced celery
- 8 c. tomatoes
- 1/2 c rice
- 2 c. water
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. pepper
directions
combine all ingredients and cook 1-1/2 to 2 hours at low to medium heat. Cook until it thickens. remover from stove and cool; pack in containers and freeze. Makes about 12 pints. when ready to use, heat with the same amount of water as soup.
