Grama's Pork Heart Stew
One of my favorite dishes. Pork hearts are not as gross as they sound - they have a dense chewy texture with no pungent taste like livers.
ingredients
- 1 Pork heart
- 1/4 cup Dried Gogi berries
- 1/2 cup Dried Asian dates
- 1/4 cup Dried “Dong Gwei” (a Chinese herb)
- Water
- Salt to taste

Chop the pork heart into thin slices approximately 2" long each.

Combine all the ingredients in a stew pot and add enough water to cover. Simmer or slow cook for several hours.
