Mom's Peanut Butter Balls
ingredients
- 12 oz. powdered sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 8 oz peanut butter
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Either 12 oz chocolate chips plus 1/2 block paraffin wax, or
- chocolate bark
directions
Mix sugar, melted butter, peanut butter, corn syrup and vanilla. Roll into balls and place in the refrigerator. Melt chocolate in a double boiler. Dip balls in chocolate and place on wax paper to cool. Refrigerate for up to 1 week.
notes
Melt chocolate in a double boiler to 115 to 125 degrees. Never boil the water in the bottom of the double boiler - only simmer. Never add any liquid to the melted chocolate to make it thinner.
