Our Family Pancakes/Waffles with Ben-Bountiful Berries!
We use the same recipe and interchange between using the skillet/pan to make pancakes or the heart waffle iron (a wedding gift!) to make waffles!
ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 cup of whole-wheat flour (tastes grainier/nuttier and better for you than white)
- 3/4 cup of milk
- 1 Tablespoon of sugar (can substitute for honey, Agave nectar or simple syrup)
- 2 tablespoons of butter or vegetable oil
- 3 teaspoon of salt

Beat egg by hand until smooth and add other ingredients, also beating until smooth in texture.

Use olive or veggie oiled skillet pan (or waffle iron for us sometimes, heated. Pour about 3 tbsp of mixture into hot pan for each pancake. We add our favorite fruits (either frozen & thawed or fresh)such as blueberries, bananas or raspberries when the edges start to cook but centers are still soft.

Turn when edges are golden brown and cook underside.
