Sweet and Spicy Fish

ingredients

  • 2 pounds fish fillets, such salmon, cod, or halibut or fish steaks, such as shark, tuna or swordfish, cut 3/4 " thick
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 TBSP Oriental sesame oil
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp crushed black pepper

    1. Place the fish in a glass or ceramic baking dish. Combine honey and remaining ingredients and pour over fish to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate for 30 minutes before cooking.

    2. Oil or spray grill with cooking spray. Grill fish low-medium heat. Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Drizzle fish with marinade and cook 3 minutes more or until fish turns opaque. If using fish steaks, turn fish after 5 minutes ; drizzle with marinade and cook 5-7 minutes longer or until fish turns opaque.
