Lemon Squares
These have a deep rich lemon flavor that’s neither tart or tangy. The combination of the fresh buttery crust that just melts in your mouth for a superior taste.
ingredients
- buttery crust:
- 1 cup real unsalted butter
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- lemon filling:
- 4 eggs lightly beaten
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 5 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon zest
directions

Preheat oven to 325

Blend butter, flour, powdered sugar and salt together and pat into a greased 13x9 baking pan.

Bake at 325 for 20 minutes.

Mix together eggs, flour sugar, lemon juice and zest.

Pour over crust.

Bake additional 25-30 minutes.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Let cool before cutting.
