CHILI RELLENOS BAKE
Great make ahead dish for brunch!
ingredients
- 4 slices firm white bread with crust trimmed off, spread one side with butter. Arrange bread with butter side down in a 7 1/2 x 11 1/2 baking pan.
- 2 Cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese, sprinkle evenly over bread
- 2 Cups shredded jack cheese, add to sharp cheese over top of bread
- 4 oz. can of chopped mild green chiles, distribute over cheese layer

- 6 eggs, beat in a medium bowl and add:
- 2 Cups milk
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. fresh garlic minced fine (1 clove)
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard

Beat these until well blended and pour over bread, cheese and chile layer.

Cover and chill overnight.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Bake uncovered for 50 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbly.
