Grandma Margaret's Sesame Thins
My son Charlie’s grandmother, Margaret used to make these cookies and I began making them every Christmas. They are a mild, delicate cookie.
ingredients
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup sesame seed
directions

Sift flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.

Cream butter with sugar, beat in egg and vanilla.

Stir in flour mixture, 1 cup at a time.

Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm.

Roll 1 teaspoon of batter into a small ball. Roll in sesame seeds.

Place two inches apart and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until golden.

These cookies can also be rolled in red or green granulated sugar.
