Meat & Kidney Bean Casserole
This recipe came from the cookbook “Treasured Recipes.”
ingredients
- 1 1/4 lbs. ground beef
- 1 2# can tomatoes
- 2 pods garlic chopped
- 1 large onion chopped
- 2/3 cup raw rice
- 1 can kidney beans
- 2 tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
directions
Saute onion and garlic in oil. Add ground meat, cook for a while, add salt, pepper and tomatoes, cook 10 minutes. Add kidney beans and chili powder. Pour into 2 qt. casserole, add raw rice. Mix in in lightly. Put top over casserole and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
