Kraut Fleckle



  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 package egg noodles
  • 1 medium onion
  • butter
  • sugar
  • 2 Tbsp caraway seeds

    Boil the eggs noodles.

    Chop the cabbage coarsely and chop the onion. Slowly sauté in butter until brown with a small amount of sugar. Then add noodles to cabbage mixture, add sugar to taste (just to complement, don’t want it too sweet) and mix well. Add salt and pepper to taste.

    Heat caraway seeds in pan and top noodle/cabbage mixture before serving.


Growing up, my mom used to make this to accompany pork chops. It may seem like a strange combination but it's really good!
