Thai Lettuce Wraps
These Thai lettuce wraps are delicious and bursting with flavor!
ingredients
- FILLING:
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 can sliced water chestnuts
- 1 bag shredded cabbage
- 1/2 bag shredded carrots
- Dash white pepper
- 1/4 tsp ginger (powdered)
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1/4 tsp garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 c slivered almonds
- 4 green onions (sliced)
- cilantro
- SAUCE:
- 2/3 c creamy peanut butter
- 2 T chili oil
- 2 T sesame oil
- 1/4 c soy sauce
- crushed red pepper flakes
- SHELL:
- Iceberg or butter lettuce leaves

Clean and dry lettuce leaves and set aside.

Combine ALL sauce ingredients in bowl and set aside. Make sure your peanut butter is room temperature for easier mixing.

Brown turkey in large skillet. Once turkey is cooked, add cabbage, carrots and water chestnuts and heat till cabbage and carrots soften. Add sauce to skillet and cook until everything is thoroughly heated. Stir in almonds. Add cilantro and green onions to top and serve with lettuce leaves.
