- 2 T canola oil
- 1 small onion - chopped
- 1/2 T coriander
- 12 whole green cardamon pods
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 cups of basmati rice - rinsed
- 2 3/4 cups chicken broth
- 3-in. piece cinnamon
