Beef and Bread Dumplings

ingredients

  • 2-3 lb. Chuck or Round Roast
  • 1 1/2 cup Vinegar
  • 1 1/2 cup Water
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 1 tsp. Pickling Spice
  • 1 lg. Onion, Chopped
  • 1/2 tsp.Salt
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream

directions

Marinate roast with all ingredients except onion, sour cream and broth for 2-3 days. Wipe off roast and save marinade. Coat with flour and brown roast on both sides. Strain marinade and add to beef. Add onion and beef broth. Cook until tender. Thicken liquid with flour. Add sour cream. Serve with dumplings.
