White Texas Sheet Cake
ingredients
Cake Ingredients- 2 Sticks of Butter
- 1 cup Water
- 2 Cups Sugar
- 2 Cups Plus 2 TBSP. of Flour
- 1 TSP. Salt
- 3 Eggs
- 1/2 Cup Buttermilk
- 1 TSP. Baking Soda
- 1 TBSP. Pure Vanilla Extract
- 2 Stick Butter
- 4 TBSP. Milk
- 1 LB. Powdered Sugar
- 1 TSP. Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1 Cup Chopped Pecans (optional
directions
Cake Instructions
Heat water and butter until boiling. Combine with the rest of the ingredients. Pour into a greased and floured jelly roll pan/small cookie pan. Bake at 350F for 20-25 minutes.
Frosting Instructions
Heat butter and milk to boiling. Removed from heat add rest and stir until smooth. Pour over cooled cake.

I was given this recipe after I left Texas. I find this cake a little richer than the chocolate version. Equally as good.
