Christmas Candy - Chocolate Truffles
This basic recipe is very versatile. You can add various extracts or liquors (just omit the vanilla) The truffles can be dipped in milk, dark, or white chocolate. They can be rolled in cocoa, ground nuts, coconut, powdered sugar, sprinkles, etc.
ingredients
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually beat in powdered sugar until well blended. Stir in melted chocolate and vanilla until no streaks remain.

Refrigerate for about 1 hour. Shape into 1 inch balls.

Dip into melted chocolate or roll in topping of choice.
