Lilly's Banana Nut Bread- YUM !

ingredients

  • Lilly’s Banana Bread
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar 1 stick of unsalted butter, softened (room temperature)
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup walnuts
  • dash of salt
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 2 Tablespoons Crisco Oil
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • Start by turning the oven on 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl beat 1 stick of unslated butter, softened and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Add 1 large egg. Mash three ripened bananas, then add them to the sugar and butter mixture.
  • Next, add 2 cups of all-purpose flour, the baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix all of these ingredients together.
  • Last, add the 1/2 cup of milk and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract. Butter and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan. Pour the mixture in the buttered pan and place in the oven. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Cool before Slicing
