Texas Sheet Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter/margarine
  • 4 Tbsp cocoa
  • 1 C water
  • 2 C flour
  • 2 C sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 C milk
  • Frosting
  • 1 stick butter/margarine
  • 6 Tbsp milk
  • 4 Tbsp cocoa
  • 1 lb. powdered sugar (2 1/3c)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 C chopped nuts

    Preheat oven to 350.

    Bring to boil in large pan 2 sticks butter, cocoa, and water.

    Put flour, sugar, and salt in large mixing bowl.

  • 4

    Add melted mixture, 2 eggs, baking soda, and milk.

  • 5

    Bake 20-22 mins.

  • 6

    Prepare frosting: Bring to boil butter, milk, and cocoa. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and nuts.

  • 7

    Put frosting on cake as soon as it comes out of oven.
