Chocolate Ice Cream
This is a custard type ice cream and needs to be cooked before freezing.
ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups cream
- 4 squares unsweetened chocolate
directions
Mix sugar, eggs and milk. Pour into a saucepan and cook over low heat for 15 minutes, stirring constantly. Take off the heat and add chocolate, stir to melt. Cool milk mixture in the fridge until cold. Add cream just before freezing in the ice cream maker. Pour into electric ice cream freezer and freeze according to freezer directions.
