Grandee's Thanksgiving Breakfast Casserole
ingredients
- 8-9 thawed Ore-Ida hash brown patties
- 1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped onion (to taste)
- 2 lbs. sausage - browned, drained, and crumbled (I use 1 lb. of HOT and 1 lb of mild, but this is also to your taste)
- 2 small cans of sliced mushrooms
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 cup of milk
- salt & pepper to taste

Spray pyrex baking dish w/ canola oil/cooking spray

Pat hash brown patties w/ paper towels to remove excess moisture and line bottom of baking dish w/ patties like a crust.

Layer w/ sausage first, onions next, and then mushrooms.

Top w/ cheese.

Beat eggs and milk - pour over top

Bake at 350-360 uncovered for ~ 45-55 minutes. (Cooking time will vary w/ ovens and size of eggs used, etc.)

This dish can be prepared the night before* and refrigerated. Simply add egg/milk mixture before you place in the oven. This dish gets "better" as a leftover!
