Venison stew

ingredients

  • 1 medium Onion diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 Tb. Olive oil
  • 1 Tb. Salt
  • 1 Tb. Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 1/2 Lb. Lean ground beef
  • 1 Lb. Venison (or beef) cut up in bite size pieces
  • 2 cans Broth (14.5oz ea.)
  • 1/8 cup flour
  • 1 slice bread, cut into small pieces
  • 1 can Diced tomIatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 Tb. Lawry’s salt
  • 2 cups celery diced
  • 3 cups carrots diced
  • 4 cups potatoes diced

directions

In a large fry pan fry the onions in the oil till soft, add the garlic, fry a bit. In a bowel mix 1/4 of flour salt and pepper. Mix with the venison. Add to fry pan. And brown . When brown add to slow cooker. Add one can of broth to the fry pan, whisk in remaining flour and bring to a boil. Add to slow cooker. Add all other ingredients, stir and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours till done. Serve with cream.
