Split Pea Soup
ingredients
- 1 Lb. Split peas
- 1 Tb. Cumin
- 1 Tb. Curry Powder
- 6 Ea. Garlic Cloves minced
- 4 Cups Chicken Broth
- 1 Tb. Garlic Pepper
- 1 Tb. Red Pepper Flakes
- 3 Slices Bacon
- 3 Tb. Olive oil
- 1 Cup Each diced.
- Carrots
- Zucchini
- Celery
- Potatoes
- Ham
- Onion
directions
In a dutch oven add a bit of olive oil, add celery, onion, and carrots. Fry till tender soft. (In another fry pan cook bacon till crisp. Drain and set aside.) Add the rest of the ingredients to the dutch oven and simmer till veggies are soft. I like to add cream at the end. When serving add crumbled bacon on top.
