Meaty Meatballs
You can use this recipe for meatballs or meat patties and gravy, which I did this time. For meatballs just add spaghetti sauce instead of beef broth
ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb ground turkey
- 1 large egg
- 1 can beef broth
- 2 tsp. Worcester sauce
- 1 cup flour or cornstarch
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbs minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt, onion powder,
- garlic powder, black pepper
- 1/3 cup low fat milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tbs. Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs
directions
- 1
Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl (except flour/cornstarch and vegetable oil)
- 2
Shape mixture into balls (size it up to you)
- 3
After balls are formed, lightly roll them in flour/cornstarch
- 4
Drop them into vegetable oil that is heated in skillet
- 5
Cook long enough for them to brown.
- 6
At this point add beef broth
- 7
Cover and let the meatballs simmer for 30 minutes or until firm
- 8
Add more flour/cornstarch if you want your gravy thicker
- 9
Serve over rice or potatoes
notes
I like to add onions and mushroom to my gravy.
