ingredients

  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 lb. round steak
  • 3 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. ketchup
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms

directions

Combine flour and salt and pound into round steak. Cut into serving size pieces. Heat oil in pan and brown meat on both sides. Reduce heat and add broth, water, ketchup, mustard and onion. Tightly cover pan and simmer for 1 1/2 hours or until tender. Add water if necessary to keep moist. Add mushrooms the last 20 min.
