Blackened Pork Chops with Indian Salsa
If someone in your family does not like their food spicy, leave the blackened seasoning off their pork chops. They taste great either way.
ingredients
- 6 center-cut pork loin chops
- 1 cup lime juice
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 large tomato, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- Blackened meat seasoning spice

Place pork chops in a glass baking dish. Mix lime juice and water and pour over chops. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours and up to 8 hours.

Combine tomato, onion, vinegar, parsley and garlic salt in a medium bowl. Mix well and set aside.

Preheat barbecue or broiler. Remove pork chops from marinade. Press desired amount of blackened seasoning onto each side of chop. Grill or broil until chops are cook through, about 4 minutes per side. Serve hot with salsa.
