Southern Cornbread Dressing
ingredients
- 4 1/2 cups dry bread crumbs
- 6 cups crumbled cornbread
- 8 cups stock (turkey, pork, chicken or ham)
- 1 cup melted margarine
- 1 cup finely diced onion
- 8 eggs
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. sage or poultry seasoning

Beat eggs slightly.

Combine all ingredients and mix well.

Pack lightly into prepared bird just before roasting.

Enough stuffing for 12-lb. bird.
