Christmas Cookies and Icing
ingredients
COOKIE DOUGH- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 2/3 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 3 egg whites, beaten
- 16oz powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp cream of tartar

COOKIE DOUGH

1. Mix butter and sugar.

2. Add eggs and vanilla and stir until smooth.

3. Slowly add flour and other ingredients and mix well.

4. Refrigerate overnight.

5. Preheat oven to 425°.

6. On a well-floured counter, roll out dough to 1/4" thick.

7. Cut out shapes as desired.

8. Bake 4-6 minutes.

ICING

1. Mix all ingredients and beat for 10 minutes.

2. Separate into different bowls for different colors.

3. Cover bowls with wet paper towels to prevent drying of icing.
